Numbers are in. Strangely, the number of deaths has been removed from the official source I have been using (https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public#number-of-cases). I took the number of deaths from here: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/11182768/coronavirus-cases-total-britain-uk-virus-wales/. Something to keep an eye on.

According to This page , "The latest figure for deaths stands at 35 - though an update is expected this afternoon."

Great chart and table. Interesting in that again there is a slowdown in detected infections.
There is some definitel weirdness going on with the figures, those % shouldn't have spikes in like that. Processed in blocks of data, with some days bleeding into the next?
Really annoying they have stopped testing external to hospitals now.

I'm not sure what is going on with the testing. One day they are ramping it up, the next ramping down or stopping, yet the figures indicate they are still testing (3826 yesterday/today.)
In all honesty, I don't think the Govt. have a clue what they are doing. BoJo is looking more tired and stressed every time I see his face on the media. Although the numbers seem to be in decline it is hard to see this thinning out among the population and the total keeps rising. I'm getting the feeling this is the calm before the storm. It has been weekend, people at home, chilling whilst I suspect many are infected with little to no symptoms, and then all (most?) back at work today. I think we will get a clearer picture in the next few days.

'You cannot fight a fire blindfolded. Test, test, test': World Health Organization attacks countries which DON'T routinely test all suspected coronavirus patients – and warns pandemic won't be stopped if officials don't know who is infected

In a startling warning to the UK – which only tests patients in hospital, he added: 'You cannot fight a fire blindfolded.'
Britain's true coronavirus crisis is now being masked because authorities are no longer testing everyone who may have the life-threatening disease.

So testing is limited to those in hospital and those seriously ill. I feel like this is a time bomb just waiting to explode. It seems to me that the only measures taken so far are by the people themselves and just hunkering down for a bit. And this is supposed to be led by scientists. Lol. Idiocracy springs to mind.

55 deaths now in the UK.

I have updated my chart and also added a new column; Death percentage of the infected. I.e. the percentage of infected people that die.

And this after BoJo's announcement today:

Britain shuts down: Boris Johnson tells people to work from home, keep out of pubs and clubs and to stop ALL 'non-essential' social contact for 12 weeks as he reveals London's infection rate is now 'a few weeks' ahead of rest of UK

  • Boris Johnson has been under massive pressure to ramp up UK's response to the spiralling coronavirus crisis
  • The PM said Britons should now avoid all 'non-essential' contact including avoiding the shops if possible
  • The dramatic new advice from government covers going to pubs, restaurants, cinemas and all travel
  • Everyone in households where one person has displayed symptoms will be told to go into self-isolation
  • Emergency services will no longer support large public events meaning they will probably be cancelled
  • Experts say the UK outbreak about to entering a phase of rapid escalation and restrictions could last 12 weeks
  • Mr Johnson said government has sweeping powers but he doesn't expect to use them as public 'understands'
  • Anybody who refuses to be tested could be forced to self-isolate with police able to use 'reasonable force'
