The UK numbers are finally out today. 232 new infections since yesterday, down 110! Lets hope this is a trend.

Lost another reply! I'll have to fix this.

Simomax it in interesting the trend has changed. Is the number tested down? Whats the proportion of tested vs positive? Wondering if this is a 'fake' dip.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'tested down'? The data came from here: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/coronavirus-covid-19-information-for-the-public#number-of-cases

As of 9am on 15 March 2020, 40,279 people have been tested in the UK, of which 38,907 were confirmed negative and 1,372 were confirmed as positive. 35 patients who tested positive for COVID-19 have died.

We know as of yesterday(?) they decided to 'stop testing' in the UK. I'm assuming those are numbers from admitted patients in hospital. Anyone with symptoms has been told to just stay home and isolate unless symptoms get worse, then call in if they do. It is really hard to say where the numbers are coming from when they say they are stopping testing.

ETA: Hmm, maybe I should have been logging the total tested. I could have worked out the 'tested per day' from daily figures.... Hindsight, such a wonderful thing. :pinch:

The wayback machine looks to have saved that page. Multiple copies per day. I'll grab some numbers now.

OK, I have managed to get most of the numbers. Yesterdays isn't on the wayback machine yet, hopefully tomorrow. Where I had no number I have simply carried on the previous day's figure, but as you can see that causes a 0 tested per day. That said, it does show no sign of slowing re testing. I have also added 'deaths'. The metric may be useful in the future. Lets hope not!
