Ok interesting, thanks for doing this. Are there any settings to modify what unit the GMC500 reports?

For GMC500 users who are stuck while this is being fixed, you can connect the GMC500 audio click output to your PC audio input and use RadLog in audio mode.

I had a look through the manual and didn't see anything, so something must be slightly different with the data sent back by the GMC500.

Annoying, with a bit of luck we can identify what has changed and get it working...

Ok we can do this as a last resort, we should be able to get it working without having to do this.

meteopedara, s52sk, see if you can get this to work with your GMC500:
Set GMC500 to 57600 baud in settings menu
Establish comms with the GMC500 in RealTerm at baud rate 57600
Confirm by typing <GETVER>>
Immediately type <GETCPM>>
The counter will return 16 bits of data according to the specification, i.e. 2 characters. Copy and paste these two characters into
https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/ascii-to-hex.html
That will give us two bytes of hex, which can then be converted to a decimal 16 bit number here https://www.rapidtables.com/convert/number/hex-to-decimal.html
That number should correspond with the CPM value on the screen at the time of <GETCPM>>

If more than 2 characters are returned, the specification has changed and it should be simple to work it out.
If the number is larger than expected, it's in a different unit or format.
If the number matches the CPM but RadLog reports wrong, its a bug or settings problem in RadLog.
Please post the two characters, or whatever is returned to the forum so I can inspect them.
