Our weather layers on the swimming site are so simple:
There are a few different layers available http://openweathermap.org/hugemaps also take a look at http://openweathermap.org/tutorial/maps
Perhaps the openweathermap people could be persuaded to donate an enterprise account for historical data? http://openweathermap.org/history
var weatherLayer = new OsmJs.Weather.LeafletLayer({lang: 'en'});
map.addLayer(weatherLayer);

Along this lines, I know some maps that have these layers with them, its a drop down box and you can select different layers to overlay on the map. Is this possible with RadMon and the google mapping that's being done now?

Its not possible with Google because they have stopped supporting their Weather layer library. Which is a real shame, becuase it would have otherwise been easy to add.

Bummer, really!? that's a shame, it would have been perfect for these kinds of maps with radiation detectors. Could have seen if it was a washout of rain causing increased readings. Ya, you got that face right ! I'm with you on that one..
