Radiation monitoring drones or UFO's?

I saw this from the rear. It was travelling westwards out to the Irish Sea. It didn't turn and the lights were mega distinct. It wasn't too far away, or it was massive. I suspect the former. Both sides had red lights that would change to green, back to red and so on. This isn't allowed according to the FAA. All aircraft flying at night (this was night, it was very dark) have to have a green light on the right wingtip, a red light on the left wingtip, and a white light at the tail. This had no visible white light and a red and green light on both sides. Most certainly not FAA approved.
I had a look on flight radar and there was no aircraft logged in flight radar at the time I saw the lights, except a Embraer ERJ-145EP (callsign BAE21) that took off from BAE Warton, did a loop up to 4250ft, went inland and then landed right away. That's quite unusual for a plane like that (that isn't built by BAE) to make a manoeuvre like that. If it were a BAE plane, a Typhoon or something, then sure, but this is a passenger plane, that is a variant of a commercial plane. It is entirely plausible (but also highly speculative) that what I saw was launched from the Embraer ERJ-145EP, but it would have had to be modified to carry a drone, or something non-standard.
At the end of the day, I have no idea what It was I saw. I just saw the lights. No shape or outline or anything. It was too dark. But in all of my years seeing planes in the sky, and I have seen thousands, I have never seen a light pattern like that. And I think it was too big, and way too fast to be a hobby RC drone or aircraft. I dunno what it was, but certainly saw something.

Sounds like it definitely was a drone of some sort, those light patterns are not typical, but could be done for some other reason.
Sounds like it must have been quite a decent size from what you observed (probably at least a metre across)
Ive seen them flying at night at a relatively close distance and was hard to figure out what I was seeing, but the propellers were what was the real tell tale sign.
Big question really is who are operating these things, if it has lights, then they intend on people spotting it and have no intention to hide their thereabouts.

I do think it was a drone of some sort. I don't think it was a multi-rotor type though, I think more a fixed wing as it looked to be travelling at quite some speed and the further away planes and things are, the slower they seem. This was fast, like, slow jet fast. Way faster than a propeller plane, but not as fast as a proper jet. It may have been a fixed wing prop drone, but light and slick, so got good speed. Like I said I'm really used to seeing planes around Blackpool at various altitudes, and I have seen them for years. Tiny planes, middling planes and large planes. I've gotten a feel for their altitudes and speeds over the years, in a roundabout way. This wasn't a jet. Even though I was driving my car, I would have heard the jet engine. I heard nothing over my own car's noise. My Dad, and my wife's Dad worked at BAE most of their lives, so I have always been close to planes all my life. But this was no normal plane I saw. Deffo something different. What? I don't know. If that plane from Warton/BAE had anything to do with it, then I suspect testing as BAE Warton test out at sea very often. It's the safest place for them to test, and they are on the coast. I guess the same would be for large drones.
I dunno. It's much speculation, just as this whole drone saga has been. Lots of sightings of 'stuff', but no viable evidence of what. I guess the saga continues.

I dont know if you follow this guy, but he talks about the New Jersey sightings a bit more in depth.

Yeah, I know him well. I've been following him for years on youtube. I think he is right that most of the sightings are aircraft that have been mistaken for drones, although I have seen some videos where the UAP do seem resemble drones, and sound like them too. And that doesn't explain the strange orb like videos of them moving fast with crazy fast manoeuvres.
One thing I heard a couple of weeks back, but not heard anything since, is that some companies are testing drone taxis, but aside that, I haven't head anything more about drone taxis.

There have been companies testing drone tech for taxi or delivery use, etc, but I doubt they would be doing this at night or have lights on them that are not FAA standard, in addition to this it would have been well publicised and FAA well aware along with all the official drone ID transponders, etc.

Yeah I think its easy enough to iron out what sightings are not drones, as you say the orb like lights of some sightings and the random movements are not possible and/or typical of drones, these are the sorts of sightings that interest me the most, much like the tic tac UFO sightings.Yeah, I know him well.
