Outdoor Sensorbox was created by heliosh
Hi,

I'm from Switzerland and last year I've built myself an outdoor sensorbox with a bunch of sensors including a geiger counter with a STS-6 tube.
The data is collected by an arduino board and transmitted via WiFi to my server at home.
I wrote some scripts to visualize and analyze the data.

Short term interactive:

Long term*:

Statistical analysis:

*) notice the drop between october and january; there was a big pile of firewood (about 5 tons) between the sensorbox and a granite wall. So the radiation or radon gas seems to have been absorbed during this time.
Generally there is a lot of granite everywhere, so the radiation level is slightly elevated.

Cheers

Welcome Heliosh
Interesting observation about the firewood blocking radiation from granite. All the granite I've tested did not show a noticeable increase, but some granite is known to be quite active. Your tube is one of the more sensitive types, so the warning and alarm settings in your Radlog (or equivalent) should be changed. Your warning level is 50 and alert 100, but your normal CPM level seems to be around 92. Set warning to be perhaps 140 and alarm 280.
Nice graphs by the way.

Thanks for adding me.
Ah, took me a while to figure out how to set the configuration via URL. Apologies for the false alerts.

Would be nice if the warning/alert-levels were set server-side, based on history.
Let's say, warning was 4.5-sigma (a value that is exceeded once every ~200 days at an update rate of 1/minute), and alert was 5-sigma (a value that is exceeded once every ~6 years)
Just an idea though.
