A new station in France

Hi dear fellowship of the Atom,

I'm actually building my station.
It's based on a raspberry 2 along with a Sparkfun Geiger counter (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11345).

The GM Tube on this rig is an LND712.
Even though it can read Alpha radiation, I don't intend to do so, I'll enclose the device in a plastic box, rendering it seriously impossible to monitor alpha rads.
So far, it's an indoor detector and it will most likely stay that way.

The rig seems to work fine, I interface the Sparkfun card with a basic wiring to my Pi and added a LCD plate to display the reading.
I got an average CPM of 12 today with a record at 20, which seems quite logical/reliable.
The image I attached show the work in progress. I'll 3d print a case or find a proper one to finalize the work (and get rid of the fancy LCD, it's just for test purposes)

I'm not an exceptional coder, but I know my way around Python and would like to contribute to the map.
I could basically report my logs through the classical API I guess?

Any format?

I currently read CPMs and can convert them to µSv/h, if need be.
Can I just post a UTC timecode + the CPM value, is it enough?
(with appropriate credentials, I got that part)

Cheers from France.

PS : don't mind the 144 record on this picture, I had an unplugged pin that I reconnected, it screwed up the readings.

Welcome to radmon.org! :)
I'll set your account up later on and PM you a password for data submission.
You can just send the CPM, the server will log the UTC time the data arrived.
http://radmon.org/radmon.php?function=submit&user=youruser&password=yourpassword&value=20&unit=CPM

I think unit=CPM part is necessary? Check it. Only CPM supported at the moment.

Ok great, I'll jsut stabilize the rig (currently I make it sniff all suspicious food we buy) and isolate it with a Raspberry pi Zero soon.
This station should be stable and isolated from external factors by the end of March I'd say.

I'll PM you by then.
