My make and model of geiger counter : RHKGK1A DIY Kit by Rhelectronics with SBM20 tube.
Kit has been tested working with a piece of fiestaware, background noise about 20-30 cpm

Talking about Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, it's a small french island located south of Newfoundland, Canada.
Géographic location is 46.77N, 56.17W.
