Hi all,

I plan to use my new PRM-9000 indoors to provide radiation readings for my area through this network. I'm located 3,200 feet above sea level and my background level is 42 CPM. So I am frequently seeing readings in the 50 to 60 CPM range, which is in the "warning" level of the readings of the RadLog software. The area I live in is known as the windiest place in Canada because of our altitude, the proximity to the mountains and the influence of the jet stream when it passes overhead. It will be interesting to see if there are any correlations.

What would you guys recommend changing the warning level to, given my background levels?

Hi Cowpip, welcome to radmon.org!

I suggest you use limits of 80 and 130.

Got some work to get out of the way, then I'll add you to the system. I'll PM you when its done.

Thanks for the help. I'll use those warning and alert levels.
