Hello there,

I recently released a custom firmware for FS2011/FS9000/NR-950/YT-203B radiation meters/Geiger counters. It also features data logging to radmon.org .

You can find the project here:

https://github.com/Gissio/radpro

and the link to an instructable here:

https://www.instructables.com/Custom-Firmware-for-Chinese-Radiation-MeterGeiger-/

It should be fairly easy to port the code to other devices like the Bosean FS-600 and FS-1000. If you are interested in contributing to the project, let me know.

Gissio.

Oooo nice! I might have to go an buy me one of those counters soon! Geiger counters are cool. Customized counters are even better! Nice work!

I have just ordered a FS2011, also a ST-LINK V2. This is the FS2011 I ordered:  https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004004207568.html  I hope it is the same board/MCU as yours. Will see when it lands.

I saw this on hackaday and github!
Two questions:
The main missing feature for me for these cheep geigers are the possibility to save data to a microSD-card with timestamps, could a micro SD module be supported?
How is the connection to radmon configured? Can't find any more information about that.

Datalogging in Rad Pro is supported through SWD https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JTAG#Similar_interface_standards).

If you have something that talks SWD and is able to write to SD-cards, you should be able to do this.

UPDATE: you can now find instructions for setting up data logging here:  https://github.com/Gissio/radpro/blob/main/docs/manual.md
