An interesting report released in the Kremlin today by the Ministry of Healthcare (MINZDRAV) is warning that millions of European Union (EU) citizens have been put at “grave risk” due to “botched/sloppy” natural gas pipeline leak tests performed after four devastating earthquakes hit Central Italy on 18 January, and that since that date, has left, at least, over half the continent awash in the deadly radioactive particle Iodine-131

I can't vouch for the news source and looks a little sketchy to me so use discernment. It appears that we only hear about these events months or years after they actually happen. I remember the earthquakes in Italy, but don't recall anything regarding nuclear leaks/plumes around that time.

This is from Archive.org. The original website seems to have gone or not paid their bill or something as is reporting this: "This account has been suspended. Either the domain has been overused, or the reseller ran out of resources."

I find it interesting that they only detected Iodine-131. Had this been a nuclear reactor or weapon I would have expected traces of other radioactive particles to be found; Caesium-137, Strontium-90 etc.
