Station down

My station is currently down as my counter won't communicate with my PC. Had to do a reboot and since nothing, tried re-installing radiation logger still nothing. The counter is working ok, maybe a problem with the USB port. I'll have another go tomorrow when my brain is working a bit better.

No funny smells near the usb interface?
Could be a fried chip orso.
I do have a power balancing cirquit (I love a stable 5v output.. ) between my Raspberry Pi usb plug and my UART-TTL module....
Could be worth checking it.

OK, opened counter up and found an intermittent on the UART, I've re-flowed the joints, and it seems ok again. I'll leave it running to see what happens.

Yes now I'm getting a software problem!!! Think I might wait til I get the new counter networked.

That's a bugger...
And perhaps for the best to wait for it, indeed.
