Yesterday I received two NOS SBM-20 tubes bought off eBay from a seller in Ukraine. I checked the tubes for DOA by swapping with the tube that came with my MightyOhm kit.
The good news is both tubes appear to be working. I ended up leaving the second new tube in the counter. It seems that this tube is around 2 CPM more sensitive than the original which is clearly visible on the slower moving average chart. November 1, 2015
I think I'll leave this tube in service and make the original a spare.
Also note that my station reports are now combining the SBM-20 with counts from a second counter using an M4011. That explains the first big bump in the monthly chart.
Having a blast playing with the kits interfacing them to the Raspberry Pi!
