I'm going to be offline for quite some time. Both my main counter and my back-up have gone phutt. I'm going to design and build a completely new system. I envisage being back in maybe a month!

Good luck! I need to do the same, both my counters have been offline for ages. Problem here is that an SBM-20 tube failed and I have not obtained a replacement...

Parts arrived yesterday; design is complete but having other commitments it will still be a couple of weeks, I think. The problem was down to a dodgy power supply, so I'm working on that too, teach me to use a cheapo Chinesium PSU. It was a nominal 12V, but on load dropped to just over 3 volts, and off load rocketed to 30+.

I really hoped I was getting somewhere. The counter part is working, at least I'm getting then right pulses, but the arduino is generating nonsense. Even with less than a count a second, the Arduino is giving counts of hundreds and even thousands!

What counter is it, and what flavour of Arduino is it?
