... start writing copyright notices because people are ripping off my content for their own use.

It has become apparent to myself that some of my content I have posted here, on this forum, has been taken and use elsewhere on other websites and platforms. In all honesty, it's not much, but I'm not happy about it.

I can go three ways with this now - 1, leave things as they are and never post any content again. 2, remove all of my content so people can't take it and use it elsewhere, or 3, grant a legally binding license for use of my content.

I don't like the idea of options 1 or 2, so I will go with option 3.

You are hereby granted the following license for use of my content:

Personal Use License for *My Content

By accessing or downloading content from this website, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to:
Download and store the content on your personal devices.
Use the content strictly for your personal, non-commercial enjoyment. You may not:
  • Share, distribute, transmit, or sublicense the content to any other person or entity.
  • Reproduce, modify, or use the content for commercial purposes.
All copyright and other intellectual property rights remain exclusively with the myself. This license does not grant any ownership rights.

*My = the author = Simomax on this website.

Should you want to use any of my content for your own non-commercial website/forum or blog, you must ask for permission. But please do not ask for permission to use my content on, or as part of, any open source project or platform, or use my content on, or as part of, any social media platform as the answer will simply be no. You can read about my reasoning here .
An exception to this is where I may post datasheets, manuals and other source material that is covered under the original author's license.

I didn't want to have to do this, however, it is at least three occasions this has happened now and I feel stuck between a rock and a hard place. I don't want to stop producing content, but at the same time I am not a free for all, and I don't want my work to be taken and used as someone else's.

Personal Use License:
You may download and save my content from this website for your personal use and enjoyment only. You may not share, redistribute, or transmit it to others, or use it commercially. All rights remain my own.

I want to thank you for all your work. You have been immensely helpful to myself, in fact I'm working on a new counter using some of your content.

Thanks FSM19. That is exactly as I intend my content and work to be used, and I promote that. I have been building a new website and going over a lot of old content. I must have put hundreds of hours into radmon.org over the past ten years. The 'Negative Ion Scalar Energy Ju-Ju' posts I made, most took a weekend to post. And it just pains me when people come along, and mostly without any thought whatsoever, just pick up some pictures of mine and use of some other website somewhere.

Building a site can be fun, but also challenging. I started on my own site about 10 years ago, and, even now, I find things I need to fix or improve. Here is the link, if you go to the Observation Post link you will find Radmon data! https://tocsinbang.com/

It can certainly be time consuming! I have had a good look over your site a couple of times. You have some very interesting, potentially rare and valuable for history information on it. Well done.

I decided to do something a little different this time and I installed a small lightweight CMS (HTMLy). Its like Joomla or Wordpress but only has about the 2% of the features that I would actually use. Write some text, drop in some images, maybe a table or two for displaying thumbnails. That's about it. It is mainly a blog type layout, but with some static pages where I am slowly detailing my collection. I have also gone over all of my good, lengthy posts I have written here and archived them over on my site. I will most likely be posting new content both here and on my site - just write for one then copy pasta to the other. It will also allow me to go off the radiation topic a bit as I have other things I would like to post about that wouldn't really fit here, except in the off topic forum, but then I wouldn't be capturing the intended audience. My weather station build (that has stalled for now) is a good example. It's not really on topic for this site and new people that come here (I suspect) are here for the rads, the clicks, the uraniums and plutonuims, not my boring weather station build.

Anyway, have a gander here: https://www.blinkyslab.co.uk/

And speaking of collection, literally whilst in the middle of writing this, my latest counter turned up at the door - A 'Meter Dose-rate Portable Trainer No.1 6665-110010' - Just like the one you have on your website - I'm sure you are familiar with. It's in good condition too, although the 'range' knob is missing and no 4x 30v batteries..... I was attracted to it by the CV2287 GM tube, and cost me a whopping £17.22 shipped!
