Hi all

Thank you for donations sent over the last year or so! Thanks to these, radmon.org can get a new battery for it's solar power supply:
https://www.tayna.co.uk/leisure-batteries/enduroline/exv270/

This is oversized for what is needed and so should last a long time with a small depth-of-discharge.

The next item on the replacement list is the charge controller, it works but throws out strong RFI all over HF and VHF too. I have tried to quieten it with ferrites and capacitors, but the problem is fundamental lack of RFI protections where it is required inside the unit. The construction of the unit (a boatload of epoxy) also means it is impractical to modify it to fix the problem. The cost for this is around £120. Thanks for all your support!

The battery is installed and everything is back running off solar. The battery shelf is just about strong enough to hold it...
