Is there a service interruption or server work going on today that I missed notice on? getting lots of "unable to connect to server" getting other uploadings ok. Going on for little over an hour now. Anyone else? Ok on the shared data viewer.part and others, just the FTP transfer upload to server. One of the messages states "not logged in". Just happen to see the error message on the line at the bottom of the display.

There have been a few unannounced reboots of the server, and i pulled the adaptor plug on the router and plugged it in somewhere else. But nothing that would have given a long outage... keep me updated if there are any more. Thanks Frank, hope you and family are well :)

Sorry about that, it was me on my end. Was confusing seeing everything else uploading and didn't realize my webpage was down, hence access to the file area where the FTP'ing the chart too was offline. Never got an invoice for the next 1/2 year payment and account was locked out. Gave them a few choice, colorful words in an email. Site back up now :)

This is a long shot request, but I'm wondering if it might be possible to have RadMon be more passive with the GMC-300/320 serial communication. What I'm wishing for is to be able to use a single GMC-300 on RadMon as well as the GQ electronics (maker of the GMC-300) world radiation map software: GMC Data Viewer 2.3. I tried to use a serial port 'duplicator' to point RadMon and the other software to the same port, but this caused an error. At least I couldn't get both softwares to recognize the same GMC-300. Currently I have to run 2 separate counters to run both softwares. I realize the serial communication may not permit this sort of thing, but I certainly don't know that much on that topic.

So that's my request: if possible somehow allow pass-through serial communication to permit the GMC (and any other counters using a serial) to provide data to other software as well as RadMon.

A couple of suggestions:
If you can hear the clicks on headphones when connected via USB, then a separate audio port will work. In Radlog, tick the Audio interface instead of the serial ones. If you don;t have a microphone input port on your Radlog machine, USB versions are available (GC Electronics sells one with other counter models). Also, don't give up on the serial port duplicator. Just looking at one example online now, I see that the mode you would need is to split one real port into several virtual ones, pointing each software to a different COM#.

Ok, thanks Bert. I was able to get the audio clicks setup in RadMon after some fiddling. I can't be sure, but it seems a little less accurate than the serial data. I guess working with the audio results may refine the accuracy. However, this does solve my problem so thank you!

I figured out how to setup audio input on the other software too, so theoretically I could even run a third or more monitoring software.
