RadLog v0.42 restart was created by mw0uzo
Its been a while since I thought about the programming in RadLog v0.42, because of the (now resolved) hosting problems.
Let's start the feature and bugfix discussion again, please add your thoughts and anything we have discussed before that I have missed out
Extra features current state
- Coincident detection and reports, 60% complete? Time syncro, server side report processing and UI implementation tidyup to be done
- APRS internet reporting. Done.
- APRS radio packet generation. Pretty much done, one showstopping bug to fix. Will need help with this, so if anyone reading this has ever debugged packet radio please get in touch.
- Ham radio CW beacon mode and QRSS option. Done
- Ham radio Hellschreiber QRSS beacon mode. Done
- FTP of all the new graphs and things. 20% done, will be adding SFTP mode. (This is why my live graph on the download page isn't updating, only SFTP enabled on the server for security reasons)
- GPS reporting. Pretty much done, workaround required for annoying serial buglet in .net. - I think its fixed!
- New icons. Done.
- Removal of Pro/Lite mode. Done. About tab contains thank you for those users that have donated.
Bugfixes
- Long term chart stuck on CPM in shared browser. Fixed.
- Missing icons (doh, deleted by mistake). New icons. Fixed.
- Trend report formatting is all over the place, depending on locality. Use a datagrid instead of richtextbox presentation?
- Check operation of RadLog in non-standard install location
- Upload long term graph to FTP

- Detect of several 0 CPM readings in a row for detector failure.
- Set audio sampling thread priority a bit higher than normal to avoid count loss while Windows crunches
- Add mightyohm gc compatibility - Done: check with real hardware.
- Add option for geiger counters that send data in uSv/hr.

Dan
Thanks again for working on improving RadLog.
One suggestion I would add is to change the priority of the audio sampling thread to a higher priority when using Windows OS together with a RadBox-20.
Doing this will eliminate the regular "dips" in the post midnight cpm rate.
In v0.41 this has to be done manually every time RadLog is started.
Making this an automatic procedure would be very useful.

bethsalem, can you confirm which priority you used, AboveNormal or High?
