Bah. My Acer Switch 10 has got to be sent back for repair. It never worked right from new, freezing and not coming out of standby, using up all the battery etc.
I wonder how long I will be without it? I got it for development of new apps e.g. radlog touch version. But its stability was only good enough for web browsing :/
It had better come back working!! Anyone else had bad luck with new stuff?

Sorry to hear about your laptop troubles. It's like getting a new toy and being told you can't actually get attached to it.
My wife's Lenovo laptop went back twice in the first six months for instability and white-screening. The earliest complainers got new motherboards, the later ones (ie us) got BIOS updates that caused pauses and the obligatory service drive wipe each time. Now we just refresh it from scratch about once a year after a full h/w & CMOS reset. On the bright side, we now have wonderful backup habits...and I got to tinker with an HP MediaVault (ARM powered 2-drive home NAS) that I picked up bare for cheap!
Don't get me started on the trouble we've had with our toaster. I swear no one QA's the firmware in those things...

Basically.... I never had any issue with Toshiba Satellite laptops.
They work well, really.

I've still got a Toshiba laptop somewhere, a Celeron 300 or something like that, no touchpad. That still works!
Unfortunately nowadays you need a supercomputer to view websites

But you should look up the Toshiba satellite L50-B-1w1
At work we sell them like candy, really.
Epic laptop for it's price.
