you talking about that rocket launch that exploded just after take off? I just saw that on facebook from one of the TV channels, glad it happened over the launch pad and not down stream over a populated area, but what an explosion!

Looks like people are blaming the rocket engines. They're reworked and reconditioned Russian engines from their failed Moon launcher programme way back in the 60's. 4 failed lanch attempts of 4. One engine failed recently during testing. That's gonna be painful for Orbital Sciences if it turns out the engines have a common flaw or weakness under maximum load.

well, basically what the main difference is here, which a WW2 scientist solved.... the engines overheated (The reporter stated the engines were running at 108% capacity.) One can do so, but has to cool the engine extremely!
Therefor they pump the liquid nitrogen of the liquid fuel rockets along a double-edged wall of the engine. || LN ||
