SI-1G Info Needed was created by Onions
Hi all!

I am wanting info on the SI-1G if anyone has used them? Is it Beta and Gamma? is the 22.5 muliplier consistent? Background?

Wasn't able to find much in the past few days of searching... thinking of getting one in BroHogan's GK RadMonPlus kit.

What is the comparison to an SBM 20?

Thanks!

Hey,

I've tried a tube similar to your SI-1G, a SI-3BG (its less sensitive cousin) and frankly that was awful, It would get 1 or 2 counts per minute,
With the SI-1G you are probably looking at something a bit shy of 20 counts per minute at background levels.
Looks like its sensitve to Beta and Gamma, Not sure of the conversion factor though.

BroHogan's kits are great, the instructions are great and the firmware is easy to use. I've got a GK-mini at the moment at a SBM-20 tube..

This is a link to the data sheet I've found on it http://gstube.com/data/2480

Good luck!

I thank you for the info! I will see what I can't find out about these tubes. I may run tests in a few months after I have money for some good sources.....
My counter is on the way and I am itching to build and program it... lots of ideas for it.
