Ran a test without the SS mesh. SBT-11A face down on desk, same location, mica window exposed, 21.4 CPM average over 20 minutes.
That's pretty close to the 22 CPM average with the mesh.

A note on the previous page of data. The uSv/h readings were not correct. The coefficient is programmed into the GK4. For the SBT-11A, John Giametti (DIY Brohogan) posted a factor of 318. Divide the average CPM by 318 and it is close to that for my other detectors, which is between 0.075 and 0.081 uSv/h.
I tried a correction to bring the uSv/h to 0.8 and found a factor of 280 - 285 came out closer to my other detectors.
