Best enclosure for mounting geiger tube outdoors

Just thought I would post a quick update, ive only just got round to getting a station built.
Ive decided to go with 1mm thick acrylic tube. This is the thinnest material I can find and will likely let the most beta particles pass.
Even low energy beta particles need 4mm of acrylic to block them, so im hoping this will give me a reasonable reading.
