Hello,
I have a GMC500+ that I would like to setup with radmon, apart from gmcmap. Any ideas of what could be the best and cheaper way? I want to keep it outside, using wifi, or may get it with a long cable, but need to avoid the inside as background inside is almost twice the outside.
Also, would be possible to setup a radiacode at radmon easily?

Hi, I'm really not sure you can use the GMC 500+ with radmon. There have been a couple of questions in the past, such as this one

, but I'm not sure anyone ever found a solution.
I'm not sure it can be done with the Radiacode either, natively. I find this though: https://github.com/cdump/radiacode It's a python library for communicating with the RC-10X and may be able to pull the CPM from the Radiacode. It would also require more code writing to send the CPM into radmon at intervals.

Hey rvpr, I noticed you seem to be submitting CPM from your GMC500. Care to tell us how you got it working? I'm certain other users in the community would find the info useful.

Hello and sorry the delay, I was going to update the post yesterday but had to leave!
I guess there is a bug or something with the standard setting when it tries to use that kind of communication method, doesnt matter which bauds you set up.
What I did, was connect using the USB cable, in my case it is USB C to USB C to the laptop, and I selected GQ GMC USB serial-audio lead, 38400 speed.

I did it differently!
I used Claude to write a proxy script and a configuration script.
The configuration script uses the configuration protocol for the GMC-500+ to set up Wi-Fi for my Starlink terminal, and configures the server settings, over the serial interface with the default baud rate, 115200. (Way better than typing anything in with the UI!)
The proxy script runs on a virtual private server (VPS) with a static IP and domain name. The domain name is what gets programmed into the GMC-500+ as the server. The submissions received by the proxy script from the GMC-500+ are translated into the format that the radmon API expects and then sent to radmon.org.
