Thank you for the info links. What occurred to me relates to a forest fire this summer, out at Lizard Lake, southwest of my location. With the change in weather, rain, storm winds, and colder, heavy air over the valley, perhaps the measured increase is coming from that area. Carbon-14?
Unfortunately, I'm not skilled enough to make a good gamma scint analysis. Could try an air filter approach. I have the equipment, just don't have the eyesight. Grin. Sifting through histograms by numbers to find peaks gets a bit tedious, and not always with decent results.
