Hi folks,

I've benefited a lot from this great project and would like to give something back to you guys.

A year ago I hacked a small daemon in C and built my station consisting of a TP-Link TL-WR703N router and a connected GQ GMC-300E+ geiger counter. Over the time I implemented more and more features and tidied up the code.

I decided to release it as free software in the hope that it's helpful to someone. You can download the complete sources here: http://www.dateihal.de/cms/gclog

I would appreciate your comments on this.

All the best,
filewalker

Ah, great. I was wondering when something like this would be written, a proper daemon. I will check it out very soon. Happy for me to put it on the download page?

Need Ubuntu package (.deb)

Debian / Ubuntu packages for x86 and amd64 currently building at OBS .

Does it check if still running like in crontab?

No, the actual simple init script has no status command.
The planned next version will run for every communication task a separate thread, so that no blocking should occur...
