I noticed that my logged data and such are not being updated in the daytime. My machine has been put to sleep and of course that is likely the culprit. Is there a recommended power setting under Win 8,1?

You'll need to disable sleep in the power settings. To get the setting you want, go into the Desktop style control panel.

Yeah i managed to get it to run with the drives and display still powering down after a while. Think I'm all set. Long term may want to try a Beaglebone with the script offered here.
