Because of my current counter issue I'm going to be offline for a day or two. It seems that possibly my tube voltage is a bit on the high side and currently I can't turn it down, so out with the tools.

Are the counters near anything metal that is new in the room? I had a hifi in to fix a while back and I put it next to my counters, which led to a few days of high readings, I didn't realise it was the hifi until I moved it away! The steel case was slightly radioactive.

New PC case! The old one was not very well cooled, so this is a bit bigger, new PSU and one extra case fan. Just thought I blew a lot of dust round too when I was doing the changeover!
